Mr. Darin Hunter
Laboratory Manager
Mr. Darin Hunter is currently the technical coordinator for the Northeast Center of Excellence for Pavement Technology (NECEPT) pavement laboratory at the Pennsylvania Transportation Institute. He supervises the NECEPT laboratory marshaling facility use between asphalt materials research, NECEPT Superpave Volumetric Mix Design Workshop, New England Transportation Technician Certification Program (NETTCP) PG Binder Technician Certification Workshop, LTAP Foreman Workshop, and Penn State Civile Engineering Course on Materials. He is active in both the NETTCP PG Binder Technician Certification Workshops and in the Superpave Volumetric Mix Design Workshops held at NECEPT, providing technical instruction in both workshops and assists in the continued development of the Binder Technician Manual of Practice with Dr. Dave Anderson. He handles all student inception training of laboratory equipment and testing materials control. Recently, he has also gained invaluable experience in pavement instrumentation.
