Concrete Field Testing Technician Certification

Initial Certification

ACI Certification: If this is your initial certification for Concrete Field Testing Technician OR your certification expired beyond May 1st of the expiring year, this is also required documentation for your Concrete Course application. Please email a copy to superpave@psu.edu within 15 business days of the course. If this is not received by NECEPT within that time, your registration will be canceled and you will not be admitted to the course. There will be no exceptions.

Technician-in-Training

If you wish to register as a Technician-in-Training, please read Publication 536 to review the requirements. The Concrete Technician-in-Training form below needs to be completed and signed by a PennDOT DMM/DME. The original stays with the applicant, a copy needs to be sent to the QA Section in Harrisburg (see address at the bottom of the form), and a copy is needed for the DMM/DME.

Certification Renewal

To renew your Concrete certification, you must enroll in the one-day Concrete course and pass the exam with a 75% or higher.

*Note:  If your certification is expired beyond the acceptable time frame, you must provide a copy of your current ACI certification.

Concrete Retest

  • Retests must be completed in the same district as the initial course.
  • Concrete retests must take place no earlier than 30 days and no later than 90 days from the original exam date. 
  • After a Concrete Retest registration is received and processed, the individual retesting will be provided with the contact information for the course instructor. The individual will be responsible for contacting the instructor to set up a date and time to complete the retest.
