Concrete Field Testing Technician Certification

Initial Certification

For individuals who are initially certifying for Concrete Field Testing Technician or those who let their certifications expire beyond May 1st of the expiring year, you must provide a copy of your current ACI certification in order to complete your course registration. The copy of your ACI certification must be received by NECEPT before the 10-day close-out period for the course. If it is not received by NECEPT within the designated time frame, your registration will be canceled and you will not be admitted to the course. There will be no exceptions.

There are two ways to submit a copy of your ACI certification:

  1. If you register online and pay by credit card, you can email a copy of your ACI certification to
  2. If you complete the paper application, please include a copy of your ACI certification and mail it to NECEPT.

Currently, online registration is not available for those who need to register as a Technician-in-Traning. However, below is the application that will need completed, signed by PennDOT, and a copy sent to NECEPT. Please review Publication 536 to review the requirements for this process.

In order to renew your Concrete certification, you must enroll in the one-day Concrete course and pass the exam with a 75% or higher.

*Note:  If your certification is expired beyond the acceptable time frame, you must provide a copy of your current ACI certification.

Concrete Retest

Once a Concrete retest application is received and processed, the individual retesting will be provided with the contact information for the course instructor. The individual will be responsible for contacting the instructor to set up a date and time to complete the retest. Retests must be completed in the same district as the initial course. Concrete retests must take place no earlier than 30 days and no later than 90 days from the original exam date.
